Working With Resilience is an international consortium of practitioners and academics combining their skills to advance the understanding of what resilience actually means in relation to our working lives.

We are interested in what work resilience is, how you measure it and what you can do to create it.

Kathryn McEwen
Kathryn McEwen Global Consortium Lead
Kathryn leads the Working With Resilience consortium from South Australia. She is an organisational psychologist, executive coach and mediator with more than 35 years consulting experience across all industry sectors. Her contribution to the profession has been recognised through the award of ‘Fellow’ by both the Australian Psychological Society and Association for Coaching. She has special expertise in workplace resilience and has authored three books on this topic as well as led development of the R@W Toolkit. In addition to workplace resilience, her areas of expertise include leader and team development/coaching and rebuilding teams in trouble. In 2021 she founded Click (www.letsclick.io) an innovative team app and platform that builds sustainable team performance. Kathryn has a strong evidence-base to her work as she collaborates with the University of South Australia through lecturing, student placements, applied research and membership of advisory committees. She serves on a number of Boards and is sought after as a speaker.
Paul Chudleigh
Paul Chudleigh United Kingdom and Ireland Consortium Lead
Paul Chudleigh is our United Kingdom and Ireland Consortium Lead. He is a highly-credentialed business psychologist and coach with experience in director-level, managerial and practitioner positions. He understands both the ‘business’ and ‘psychology’ elements of the profession and produces very clear linkages between ‘soft’ factors such as culture and achieving tangible business outcomes. He has worked extensively with Chief Executives, Directors, Senior Managers and Middle Managers across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Paul specialises in the assessment and development fields and has a real passion for delivering OD work in the way it should be – with care, a genuine focus on clients’ goals and a preparedness to ‘go the extra mile’ to secure results.

Pierre Naquet
Pierre Naquet Europe Consortium Lead
Pierre is our European distributor for Working With Resilience products. He works at senior management levels, contributing to the development of business strategy and performance. He has specialised in executive assessment and coaching for leadership performance. Pierre works with executives and their teams on the challenges of power, influence, paradox, ambiguity and motivation in complex matrix organisations and on the management of emotional derailers and cross cultural effectiveness. He is also expert in Conflict Intelligence and Resolution. Since September 2011 Pierre has served as an advisory board member with the Center for Conflict Dynamics in St Petersburg (Florida). He is the Co- Founder of and Managing partner at the Institute for Conflict Dynamics Europe in Berlin (Germany)). He is the Founder of the European Institute for Workplace Dynamics in Paris (France). Pierre graduated from Paris-Nanterre University with a D.E.S. degree in Economic Science and Finance. He earned the title of Psychologist after completing a D.E.A. in cognitive psychology at Paris-Nanterre University. He is a member of the French Psychological Society and a Faculty member with Mercer in their Leadership Development practice.

Dr. Catherine Carr
Dr. Catherine CarrNorth American Consortium Lead
Catherine is our lead in Canada. She is a Professional Certified Coach and Registered Clinical Counsellor with Carr Kline & Associates. Catherine has a doctorate in executive coaching and leadership development and a masters degree in counselling psychology.

Over her career, she has worked as a therapist, mental health consultant and coach. She has coached leaders and teams across Canada and internationally.

In 2012, Catherine won the Goulding Award for the most outstanding professional doctorate for her work on team coaching. She is the co-author of 50 Tips for Terrific Teams! and an evidence based approach to High Performance Team Coaching, several peer reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and magazine articles.

Catherine has a coaching and counselling practice in Victoria. She has a particular interest in coaching professionals to enjoy a satisfying working life and in building resilient teams.

Vivienne St. John Robb
Vivienne St. John RobbWorkshop Facilitator
Vivienne is an enthusiastic and energetic facilitator and consultant with more than 25 years experience. She is the director of Viv it Up and has a range of qualifications in management, children and community services, positive psychology and work health and safety. Her particular interest is in employee psychological health and wellbeing.

Vivienne provides engaging programs that incorporate the application of theory into practice, utilising strengths of vitality, energy and sense of humour.

Vivienne is also a director on a number of boards including state government and not for profit.

Professor Craig Runde
Professor Craig RundeSpecialist Master Trainer: Conflict
Based in U.S.A., Craig leads integration of our resilience work with workplace conflict. He is the director of the Institute for Workplace Dynamics – Americas and Board member of the Institute for Workplace Dynamics – Europe. He is the former director of the Center for Conflict Dynamics and Mediation Training Institute at Eckerd College. Craig is an expert in conflict and integrates this with our resilience work. He is the co-author of several books on workplace conflict management from Wiley including Becoming a Conflict Competent Leader, Building Conflict Competent Teams, and Developing Your Conflict Competence. He is also the author of the online course, Improving Your Conflict Competence from LinkedIn Learning. Craig received his B.A. from Harvard University, an M.L.L. from the University of Denver, and a J.D. from Duke University.
Guido Prato Previde
Guido Prato PrevideItaly Consortium Lead
Guido is a business psychologist who consults with leaders, teams and organisations at a local and international level. Previously, he worked as a medical doctor and clinical psychologist. For more than 20 years he has been a trainer and executive coach across 10 countries. His special interest is in navigating interpersonal nuances and organisational dynamics to customise interventions that shift mindsets and create behavioural change. The main focus of his activity is leadership development, constructive communication, team performance, organisational agility and resilience.

Guido has collaborated with leading organisations such as KAI Centre/UK, Creative Problem Solving Inc./U.S.A and RHR/U.S.A.

He facilitates the R@W Toolkit accreditation in Italy and is the translator of our four measures

Sharon Mann
Sharon MannBusiness Manager
Sharon holds a Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy from Adelaide University and a Honours Degree in Psychology. Sharon’s dedication to the R@W toolkit includes a published paper on the R@W Leader scale. In her role at WWR she manages the coordination of the accreditation process.
Robin Wilson
Robin WilsonNew Zealand Consortium Lead
Based in New Zealand, Robin is a passionate Wellness Specialist with a range of qualifications in the Health and Wellbeing sector. Robin has a diverse career background in the financial services sector including leading teams through times of turbulent change and has led an NGO in the Health and Disability sector. Robin is also the director of Workplace Wellness and Holistic Wellness. These combined experiences, along with her wellness background, gives Robin a unique insight into the demands and stresses of working in the business and NPO worlds and of being self-employed.
Angela Powell
Angela PowellSpecialist Master Trainer: Trauma
Angela is our Trauma Specialist. She is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Medicare & Return to Work Provider, Trauma Therapist, Green Cross Academy Certified Compassion Fatigue Therapist & Educator and ICF Accredited Coach. Angela possesses over 26 years of clinical experience where she has provided counselling and coaching in a range of health care, law enforcement and organisational settings. Areas of expertise include trauma, sexual violence, grief and loss, vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue management, leadership, resilience based clinical supervision/coaching, resilience and workplace well-being. Angela is an active member of the Editorial Board for the international Journal of Aggression, Maltreatment & Trauma, USA and participating Board Member for Australia’s National Association of Services Against Sexual Violence. Angela teaches at the University of South Australia and at Flinders University in their Schools of Psychology and Social Work and holds extensive professional qualifications from the University of South Australia and the State University of New York. She combines these professional qualifications with the best resources and recent research and has authored and delivered numerous trainings and workshops for the public and private sectors locally and internationally. Angela also has her own counselling and coaching practice in South Australia where she also delivers numerous workshops in the area of trauma informed care, compassion fatigue, & worker-wellbeing and Resilience at Work (R@W) workshops in the USA and Australia.
Dr Carolyn Boyd
Dr Carolyn Boyd Research Specialist
Dr Carolyn Boyd was previously a research associate at the Asia Pacific Centre for Work Health and Safety at the University of South Australia. Her research interests include the antecedents of stress and wellbeing at work, age differences in attitudes to work, and emotion regulation at work. Within the team she provides expertise in research methodology and statistical analysis and is co-developer of the Resilience at Work Team Scale.
